Amstrad PCW Fully Upgraded with Gotek and Extra Memory has been fully renovated AMSTRAD PCW COMPUTER in great condition for its age, fully tested and in full working order.
This Amstrad PCW 8256 was manufactured in 1985 and was originally sold as a word processor but was actually quite a competent general use computer and gaming machine.
This classic retro Amstrad has been upgraded to the full 512k of RAM effectively making it a Amstrad PCW 8512 and also includes a fully renovated 3 inch floppy drive and a brand new Gotek USB drive fully laden with Amstrad games, apps and classic programming languages such as Pascal, Modula 2, Basic and C plus many other historical goodies.
The supplied USB drive is filled with all things Amstrad such as digital issues of the classic 8000 plus Amstrad magazine from 1986, lots of manuals, schematic diagrams, lots of utilities and emulators.
The Gotek drive has been professionally installed and includes a custom built switch to optionally boot from Gotek or the original floppy drive. This also allows copying to / from USB and floppy disk.
The supplied USB stick has hundreds of games apps andutilities all accessible using the two Gotek buttons and all visible on the installed Gotek OLED display.
Also includes an original Pascal MT+ box set with the original manuals.
Lots of 3inch disks with disk box , protective sleeves and spare labels.
This is a very impressive machine to play and simple to transfer software from a modern PC.
Symbos is also included which is a very competent windows style operating system.
The computer is in very good condition, has been fully tested and is in full working order.
